Becoming a Certified Menopause Specialist
Embracing a New Chapter: Becoming a Certified Menopause Specialist with Girls Gone Strong
This year marks an exciting and deeply meaningful milestone in both my personal and professional journey. I am proud to share that I have officially become a Certified Menopause Specialist through the Girls Gone Strong program — a certification that is not just another credential, but a powerful reflection of my passion, purpose, and commitment to supporting women at every stage of life.
As a woman who has entered what some call "a certain age," I understand firsthand the layers of change that can come with midlife — physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Menopause is a profound transition, yet too often, it’s surrounded by stigma, silence, or misinformation. Many women find themselves feeling isolated, misunderstood, or overwhelmed by symptoms they were never fully prepared for.
When I discovered the Girls Gone Strong Menopause Certification, it felt like a perfect alignment with my calling as a therapist. I wanted the education, the tools, and the nuanced understanding to help my clients navigate this phase with knowledge, confidence, and compassion. Completing this program deepened my expertise on the hormonal shifts, mental health challenges, body image changes, and lifestyle needs that arise during perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause.
Why This Certification Matters to Me
For years in my therapy practice, I’ve witnessed how often women’s emotional struggles are intertwined with the physiological changes they experience — often without realizing it. Anxiety, depression, irritability, insomnia, self-esteem issues, and relationship challenges can all be intensified by hormonal shifts. And yet, so many women are left feeling like they’re “just not handling life well” rather than being offered the right education and compassionate support for what’s happening inside their bodies.
Becoming a Certified Menopause Specialist allows me to bridge this critical gap. I can now bring both the clinical therapeutic lens and evidence-based menopause education to the work I do, offering my clients a holistic, affirming approach to their healing and growth.
This certification isn't just for my clients — it’s for me, too. It’s about honoring my own journey as a woman growing wiser, stronger, and more attuned to the cycles of life. It’s about giving myself and other women permission to own this season with pride, not shame. To seek help when needed. To understand our bodies instead of feeling betrayed by them. To embrace vitality and new possibilities at every age.
What I Hope to Offer Women in This Season
I want women to know:
You are not alone.
You are not broken.
You deserve information, support, and respect for your lived experience.
You have permission to thrive in this chapter — not just survive it.
Through therapy, psychoeducation, workshops, and community support, I’m excited to help women step into this next phase of life with grace, resilience, and power.
Becoming a Certified Menopause Specialist is more than just another credential for me — it’s a heartfelt commitment to walk alongside women through one of the most transformative times of their lives.
I’m honored to do this work. And I’m just getting started.
