Credentials and experience are essential, however research shows that one of the most important elements is the therapeutic relationship you have with your therapist. I encourage you to meet with me in person to see what it feels like to sit together and talk with me. My job is to help you unpack pain and process your feelings in a safe and confidential space. I will hold a safe space for you, where you can be feel to express yourself without judgment. Therapy can be rewarding and a journey to self-discovery to become a better you. I strive to develop rapport with clients through a supportive, encouraging, and healthy therapeutic relationship to develop growth and resilience. I will adapt the pace to fit what you need. If I am not the best fit for your needs, I will help refer you to another therapist to fit your needs. I draw on my education, training, and life experience to assist my clients with their challenges. Besides being a therapist, I am a wife, and I have been married for 24 years. I am also a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, employee and business owner. Managing multiple life roles may be a potential problem for everyone at some point in life. With all have life transitions, I know this personally to be true. With insight, planning, and organizing life roles it is possible to put life roles in perspective. NaTasha A. Bailey was born and raised in San Diego, California. She earned her Bachelor's of Science in in Human Services and went on to pursue a Master’s of Science in Marriage Family and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix in 2011.
During her academic work she was the recipient of the 2010 California Department of Mental Health MFT Stipend Program Educational Award. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. Her clinical experience consist of providing psychotherapy to adults, couples, adolescents and families in San Diego for over 10 years. She specialize in relationship counseling , treatment of anxiety, depression, and other emotional difficulties. NaTasha is a Certified Trauma therapist and has worked with adults and families of all ages from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds. She has extensive experience treating adolescents and women with childhood trauma, racial trauma, stress and attachment issues. Along with running her private practice part-time she currently also works as a therapist in high schools supporting students with Individual Educational Plans and their mental health needs. Her experience also includes providing therapy for children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems for various school districts in San Diego such as crisis intervention and Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) to students receiving Special Education Services. NaTasha dedicated the early part of her career to serving underserved populations, particularly older adults and consists of over 15 years experience working with the elderly population in Long Term-Care diagnosed with disorders such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease as Aging Program Specialist Regional Coordinator for the County of San Diego Long-Term Care Ombudsman Office provided advocacy for seniors. NaTasha has also worked as a Protective Services Worker with the County of San Diego Child Welfare Services helping families with reunification services. She believes that therapy not only takes place in the therapy room, but also in everyday life experiences. She knows that relationship between the therapist and the client is paramount for productive treatment and ultimately for healing to occur. She hopes to inspire clients by empowering, educating and encouraging them to build on their strengths as well as possibilities in order to move to a place of hope and healing. When NaTasha is not working she enjoys running, weight training, fiction writing and most importantly spending quality time with her husband and three daughters ages 22, 18 and 16 years old.
